Pesticide and Herbicide Notification

Hastings Public School District is continuing to work closely with its health and safety resources to ensure compliance with integrated pest management. A Minnesota state law requires schools to inform employees and parents if they apply pesticides and herbicides on school property. State law also requires that you be told that the long-term health effects on children from the application of such pesticides and herbicides, or the class of chemicals to which they belong, may not be fully understood. Hastings ISD #200 applies pesticides and herbicides on a limited basis when necessary.
